SEEKING INFORMATION: MISSING CHILD Sheriff Mike Meehan, Flathead County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), Kalispell, Montana and Special Agent-In-Charge Timothy J. Fuhrman, Salt Lake City Field Office of the FBI, announced they are seeking information regarding the disappearance of LOIC J. M. ROGERS. ROGERS, a three-year old child, disappeared from a residence in Kalispell, Montana at approximately 6:30 PM on the evening of January 24, 2007. ROGERS was in the company of his father, MARK ROGERS, around the time of his disappearance. MARK ROGERS was preparing to leave the residence and left his son at the family van for a short period of time in order to retrieve two other children from the residence. When he returned a few minutes later, the child was gone. An extensive search of the area has been underway since the evening of the 24th. An AMBER Alert has also been issued for LOIC ROGERS. On January 25, 2007, the FBI was asked to assist the FCSO in the investigation of the disappearance of LOIC ROGERS. Since yesterday, approximately 30 FBI employees have been deployed to Kalispell, Montana to aid in locating the child. These employees are from Western and Eastern Montana, Northern Idaho, and the Salt Lake City, Utah area. The group is comprised of Special Agents, technical support, information management support, and specialists in the safe recovery of missing children. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) has also sent a representative from Washington, DC to Kalispell, Montana to support these efforts. SAC Timothy J. Fuhrman stated “The FBI will employ every resource necessary to assist the Flathead County Sheriff in the safe and swift recovery of LOIC ROGERS. One missing child is one too many. The FBI has an outstanding relationship with this department and no request will go unanswered.” Sheriff Mike Meehan responded “I have asked for the assistance of the FBI because of their experience and expertise in dealing with missing people.” Individuals with information concerning LOIC ROGERS should immediately call the TIPLINE at (406) 758-5874.
